SAGA of LIGHT
Saga of Light was Directed and Produced by Eva Jin. The films romantic fantasy genre is a classic tale of the Moon Goddess, Chang Eh and the heroic archer, Hou Yi who is famous for shooting nine of the ten suns.
The project was filmed primarily in Hainan, an island province of China. Hainan provided us with a workable studio complex and it's pristine beaches were used for a number of the films exteriors.
Prior to joining the project Eva had comissioned a body of concept work. Eva’s unique and beautiful vision for the project outweighed the many challenges we faced during the production.
Oversized florals and mushrooms were created out of a Beijing Studio and shipped to Hainan.
Once these items took shape on the dressed set, they created a sense of magic and wonder that enhanced the narrative of the film.
Our major forest set had to be redressed and reimagined at a moments notice.
Our Village environment was a beautiful build on the backlot of the studios.
Bamboo artisans and set builders created organic shapes that blended beautifully with the main build of the Mayor’s residence.
The diligence and artistic expertise expressed by the Chinese Art/Prop/Construction team was revered and respected.
Shooting was completed in Australia with an extensive Ravine build and stunt sequence.
The film is yet to be released.
